Welcome to Your Journey of Healing and Growth
As a counsellor, I consider it a profound privilege to listen to another person's story. It is an honour to assist someone during challenging times or help them gain a deeper understanding of their behaviours in specific situations. My goal is to support you in discovering the inner resources needed to move forward in your life. I would be humbled if you allowed me the opportunity to hear your story and accompany you on your journey.
Many people face moments in life where they feel stressed, depressed, or overwhelmed and need someone to talk to. Counselling offers a chance to connect with a neutral party who can help you gain a balanced perspective, challenge negative thinking, and foster positive change.
My approach is rooted in Person-Centred Counselling, where I strive to understand your world from your perspective, without criticism or judgment. I am committed to creating a space where you feel valued and respected. Depending on your needs, I may also integrate techniques from Family Therapy in Systemic Practice, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and NLP to tailor our sessions to your unique situation.
I bring extensive experience from working in the caring professions, including roles as a Nurse within NHS mental health and learning disabilities services, as well as in the Private and Charitable sectors. My background includes working with both adults and children across a variety of settings, such as Therapeutic Drug and Alcohol Communities, Complex Needs and Mental Health Services for young people, Autism Services, the Prison Service, Women's Domestic Violence Services, and Family Therapy services.
I have a particular interest in supporting autistic persons and their families. I understand how sensory challenges can impact those on the spectrum and I am dedicated to creating a comfortable environment where you feel supported in discussing any issues you wish to address.
I specialise in working with the complex and often painful issues underlying low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. I recognise how these challenges can manifest in stress-related symptoms such as disrupted sleep patterns, fatigue, concentration difficulties, and feelings of being overwhelmed. My integrative counselling approach focuses on both alleviating these symptoms and exploring any unrealised potential or possibilities you may not have considered.
I offer online counselling sessions via Zoom, WhatsApp, or Google Hangouts. If appearing on video feels uncomfortable, you are welcome to join without using your camera, or you can cover your screen to create a more comfortable experience.
